Curriculum

Learn to read order flow, one drill at a time.

Seven modules, from reading a single footprint bar to naming the pattern in a live replay — all on real historical market moments. Each lesson is scored; 70 passes it. Create a free account to save progress. Module 1 is free.

Volume & CVD foundations

1.1 · Volume is not one number
Every traded contract has an aggressor. Tag each bar by who pushed harder.
0
1.2 · Delta
Delta is buy volume minus sell volume. Read the split and call the sign before it reveals.
0
1.3 · CVD as a running story
Cumulative delta across bars. Did it confirm the price move, or diverge from it?
0
1.4 · Divergence
Price kept going, CVD stopped agreeing. Find the bars where that happened, if any.

Footprint anatomy

2.1 · Reading one footprint bar
Bid x ask at every price. Which level carried the most volume?
0
2.2 · Diagonal imbalance
Ask vs bid one tick below, 3:1 or more. Mark every imbalanced cell.
🔒
2.3 · Stacked imbalances
Three or more imbalances in a row on one side. Is there a stack, and which side?
🔒
Module 3

Absorption & exhaustion

3.1 · Absorption
One side leaned hard and price did not go there. Find where it happened.
🔒
3.2 · Exhaustion
Volume tapered as price pushed into the extreme.
🔒
3.4 · Replay: what happens next
Watch the bars play. Call the last one before it shows.
🔒
Module 4

Volume profile context

4.1 · Where the POC sits
Upper, middle or lower third of the bar. Where the heaviest level sits says who was comfortable there.
🔒
4.2 · Price vs value area
The prior hour's value area is drawn. At the end of the window, is price above, inside or below it?
🔒
4.3 · POC migration
Did the point of control migrate up, down, or hold flat across the window?
🔒
Module 5

Delta in context

5.1 · Trapped traders
Strong delta one way, then the next bar closes through that bar's extreme. Find the bars whose aggressors got caught.
🔒
5.2 · Delta flips
Find the bar where the run of delta changed sign and stayed changed.
🔒
5.3 · Effort vs result
Big volume with no travel, or easy travel on little volume. Tag each bar.
🔒
Module 6

Synthesis

6.1 · Name the pattern
One of absorption, exhaustion, divergence, or none of them. Which is it?
🔒
6.2 · Replay on 5-minute bars
Same drill, slower bars, more context in each ladder.
🔒
6.3 · Session read
Sixteen 5-minute bars. Read the whole stretch before calling the last one.
🔒
Module 7

SMC on the footprint

7.1 · Sweep and reclaim
A bar takes out the prior extreme on aggressive delta, then closes back inside. Find those bars.
🔒
7.2 · Displacement
The widest bar in the window. Did the delta actually back the move, or did price travel on thin aggression?
🔒
7.3 · Level revisit
The heaviest level from the first half is drawn. When price came back to it, did it hold or break?
🔒
Module 8

Sequence reads (15-minute bars)

8.1 · Passive or aggressive?
Each bar is one of three things: absorption, initiation, or rest. Delta says who pushed; the candle says whether it worked.
🔒
8.2 · Effort vs result on the candle
Adds the fourth role: failed effort. Same side hits harder than on the bar before, but the body stays under 40% of the range with a wick against the push.
🔒
8.3 · Sequence read: shield, then sword
Find the absorption bar that was followed, within three bars, by an initiation in the opposite direction to the absorbed side.
🔒
